Our Process

PLAN

With special projects (our specialty), planning is a huge component of what we do. Clients come to us with a design (either conceptual or complete) and it is our job to plan how those ideas become reality.

Planning starts at a macro level and keeps being worked down through the layers. Charles will consult and inform on how choosing this might affect that and the like. The process generally goes:

  1. Listen - hear what is trying to be achieved, without judging. Staying open to the possibilities of the project.

  2. Consider - how to achieve the look, feel and form of the project. Consider different building methodologies, materials.

  3. Consult - devise a cost plan

  4. Refine - make recommendations where required in order to achieve scope and price

  • PRE-CONSTRUCTION

This stage involves specifying all of the finishes for your project so that we can create an efficient build process and minimise any unforeseen financial costs or time delays.

CONSTRUCT

Site opens and construction begins.

This is the moment where all of that planning is used to specify what needs to be done when, following a critical path based on technical knowledge and experience to execute the building works.

At times during this stage, things come up. There may be a change, or something unexpected may occur (happens a lot with renovations). At those points, we go back to planning, we listen, consider, consult and refine and weave that plan back into the construction stage.

DELIGHT

Beyond the technical component of building, there is also a huge process going on for our clients as life shifts and changes getting them ready for the finalisation of their special project.

We aim to defy the urban myth that building is a nightmare. When something this amazing is coming to life, we aim to delight with client service and high quality building outcomes.

  • HANDOVER

Upon completion of you build, we at Charles Warren have a meticulous handover process to make sure the build is perfect and ready for you.

After handover we keep in contact and are always willing and able to assist with any problems that may arise.
