Building a Winner - The Journey

Having a multi-generational holiday home in a prime location may seem like enough to most, but some need more. When we embarked on the journey of building this stunning, minimalist Noosa home we truly adopted and implemented our “build beautifully” slogan.

This project is a combination of amazing ideas, innovation and our precision execution from all on Charles Warren team. Showcasing beauty, art and luxury to the finest degree.

Luxury to reality:

The Deck

With small grandchildren of various ages, the deck needed to be safe, allowing adults to relax and enjoy the water views without worrying about the little ones. Precision was required for a seamless look, straight structures and each element perfectly lined up.

The Pontoon

The last thing you want to worry about at your holiday home is the ongoing maintenance. A collaboration with renowned hardware supplier Woodhouse Timber gave us their Aztec product, which guarantees 40 years of longevity. Using this new product, our in-house carpenters built the pontoon from scratch.

A pie-shaped block with noise on one side and a waterfront view on the other, this home was all about long lean lines stretching from the front to the back as well as different sloping ceiling lines to capture light and views. In another’s hands, those long halls and sloping lines could weave and bow. This kind of minimal building demands precision.

An absolute joy to also build out of timber, just like any original beach house would have once been. The breeze blocks also reference a certain era of beach house, however, with a modern twist. For this breeze block screen, designed to block significant noise of holiday goers on the street, we consulted, tested and ultimately designed the structure that would allow it to perch on the corner and serves its functional purpose.
